The Program offers qualifying vehicle owners incentives to scrap their older vehicle. Incentives such as money towards the purchase of a new vehicle, 28 months of Translink bus passes, $1,200 towards the purchase of a new bike, or $1000 credit at Zipcar or the Co-op Auto Network.

To qualify for this amazing program you must own and currently operate a 1995 or older car or light-duty truck, have insured your vehicle for the last 12 months continuously in British Columbia, and your vehicle must be in driving condition.

It’s expected the program will scrap between 10,000-20,000 older vehicles over the next three years. If an average of three tonnes a year of CO2 is secured from 15,000 scrapped vehicles for a three-year remaining life, it would reduce CO2 emissions in B.C. by an estimated 135,000 tonnes.

We heard about the program from our friend Benny who recently brought in his 1986 van and purchased a new bike.

Gina Hole is the founder of THEYrep and we feel she has great intuition when it comes to visual aesthetic and is very perceptive of what works on the internet. We’re glad to be working with her.

We love the web and the opportunities it presents for our clients. We know that we’re going to be able to provide THEYrep with a product that is a pleasure to use and is a more effective tool for promotion. In this day and age of mobile browsing a company/business/enterprise has to have mobile specific representation of their brand on the web. The iphone’s version of Safari boasts the most advanced CSS3 capabilities and thus intermission* believes the iphone is the leading proponent for mobile technology.

If a user visits our site on their iphone,  it immediately redirects them to the sub-domain where our iphone specific site is located. This is obviously nice because the user doesn’t need to take any extra steps to enjoy a site that’s optimized for their device.

I had only seen a poster Alison had made for a string of Albertans shows (which I really liked!) until I asked her for an image for this post. Alison sent me quite a few pictures of her pieces and I have to say, they are very interesting.

The one that is featured in this article is my favorite. Something about this collaged, city skyline is clever in it’s use of what I assume are found pieces of paper.
